What is the Australian Data Privacy Amendment (Notifiable Data Breaches)?

The Notifiable Data Breaches Amendment requires certain Australian organisations to report eligible data breaches to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, and to the affected individuals . Additionally, all suspected data breaches must be investigated within 30 days to determine if they are eligible for notification. The regulation comes into effect in February 2018.
