Getting Started with InsightVM
During this 60 minute workshop the following topics will be covered:
Install InsightVM
- Start with a fresh install of the InsightVM console on Windows
- Download the InsightVM installer and walk through the installation process
- Discuss the Insight Platform login process
- Verify InsightVM is installed and running
- Login to the InsightVM browser interface and activate the license
- Pair the console with the Insight Platform to enable cloud functionality
InsightVM Engine Install and Console Pairing
- Start with a fresh install of the InsightVM Scan Engine on Linux
- Set up appropriate permissions and start the install
- Set up the engine in the console and pair the engine
- Discuss the different engine pairing options
Run a Test Vulnerability Scan
- Build a site with the localhost as the target
- Scan the site and review the results
