The recent attacks on Oldsmar, Florida water facility as well as other cyber attacks targeting critical infrastructure has shed a new light on how simple it is for even novice attackers to penetrate OT networks. The attacks on OT networks in critical infrastructure come at a price that is far higher than financial losses and may result in loss of life.

Elad Ben-Meir is the Chief Executive Officer of SCADAfence. Elad brings 15 years of experience in various executive business roles. Prior to this role, Elad was the VP of Marketing and Strategic Accounts at CyberInt, a MDR provider focused on protecting digital businesses. Before that, Elad was the VP of Marketing and Products at indeni, a provider of knowledge driven solutions that simplify network management. Elad is a public speaker and an evangelist of new products and technologies in the cybersecurity and IT space and regularly advises to companies in the eco-system. Elad holds a BA in Computer Science & Economics from Tel Aviv College in Israel.

Ben is a Senior Security Solutions Engineer for US Federal customers and the internal OT SME at Rapid7. Before this role, Ben spent several years in Operational Technology (OT) system security helping to design, assess, build, and test OT security products for use by both commercial and Federal customers. Ben has offensive and defensive network experience within OT & IT systems and holds a Masters of Science in Cyber Security from University of Maryland University College.
